Word Press 2.5 Upgrade
I just upgraded to the latest version of wordpress. I had some trouble at the beginning with some of my plugins. I think it went ok. The website looks the same so no changes on the front end. The backend of Wordpress has changed. As you can see the administration section is all new. Also when you log into your blog the login page is different. It has the same color scheme as the backend sections.
I like the new upgrade feature for the plugins. I had some issues with the wordpress automatic update and the plugins wouldn’t update automatically. I had to first disable the wordpress automatic update plugin and then upgrade it and then activated it and now the plugins can be automatically update with out any issues.
I should have waited longer to upgrade wordpress so the issues can be worked out. If I have to go back to 2.3.3 I have the database backup, and the directory files downloaded on to my computer. The process going back to 2.3.3 won’t be a problem. Looking on the forums a lot of people are having issues with the upgrade process.

I went to the B2 yesterday and Some extra pictures
Everyone was at the B2 last night. I stayed around 12. Here are some pictures that I took while I was there.
Here are some pictures from the outside of the Hospital where I work. These two buildings are Memorial and Irving. There is also another buidling called west tower. I work on 10 Memorial.
This is looking down the street waiting for the bus. I park at the skytop and get bused to work. Skytop is a Syracuse Univeristy parking lot. It is a nice ride. I have to be at Skytop at 7:10 AM to catch it.

HTML Application
I just discovered that you can create HTML Applications and they will run on windows operating system. They are applications that have a file type of *.hta. You can use vbscript or javascript to run them. Here is a short little Hellow world application that I created in vbscript. Click on the word helloworld and save it. Open the file in notepad so you can view the contents of the file.

Remote Reboot Application
I found this cool free application. I actually used it today at work. I had to reboot a computer remotely so I can install software on the computer. Here is a screen shot of the application. You pick your computer by browsing through the network, or type in the computer name. The next step is to type in your credentials. The last step is to pick what you want to do. You can reboot a computer, shutdown, log off a user. You can also force a restart or shutdown on the computer. This application comes from www.intelliadmin.com. I wish I can program something like this.

How to Add user to a local group on a computer
You can create a bat file.
In the bat file you will put the following:
- net localgroup administrators house\ComputerAdminGroup /Add
- net localgroup “Power Users” house\PowerUserGroup /Add
- net localgroup “Remote Desktop Users” house\remotelogon /Add
If a group has spaces on it you put the local group in quotes.
If you have domain environment make a GPO with a startup script and add the Bat to it, and that is all you have to do.

Easter Weekend
On Friday I went out for Ed’s birthday. I stayed out till 12:00 AM, because Andy had to work in the morning. On saturday I went to a house party with Andy and Jen. It was fun both days. I still have a lot of beer left over from the house Party.
