How I remote into work
I have been using my Windows XP computer to remote in and then RDP into work. This weekend I setup my MAC to VPN and then I use the Microsoft remote desktop client to remote in to work. I have to say I like the MAC even more. The only thing that I don’t like is I can’t open more remote desktop windows. If I have to remote into my computer at work, then I can’t remote into another computer or server. I can open more remote desktop windows on the xp computer then I can on the MAC. I am still going to still use my MAC to vpn into work and see what I think about it. I can find another RDP client to use and that might solve my problem. Does anyone have any recommendation on a good RDP client?
I really like the MAC OS X 10.5 or the official name is Mac OS X Leopard. You have the multiple spaces or desktops that you had in the different linux flavors. I put the MAC onto my domain at home. I run a Windows 2003 domain at my house. I can now do printing because I have a printer attached to one of the windows computers that is shared through security groups.
I also have to do this. The keyword of the day is colon cleanser. This might help you or it might not.

On Call 6/28/08
I got a call around 5:44 PM yesterday. He told me that only one department couldn’t print. I tried to stop and start the printer but I couldn’t stop. Then operations paged me again saying there were more departments that couldn’t print. I had to reboot the print server. I then called operations back. He called the different departments and they were able to print again.

On Call for 6/25/08 - 6/27/08
I am finished with my refresh tasks. I then had to prep a new computer for an employee that didn’t have a computer. Then the computer that was in the office I had to move to another office because it is a kiosk computer. We didn’t have enough room on the switches so I had to get a 24 port switch and install it. I then got my fax machine back from the company that fixes the printers and copiers. I installed the fax machine and then I brought our loaner fax back to the shop. Someones space bar wasn’t working on their computer so I replaced the keyboard.
When I was eating Pizza one of the employees that I replaced the computer said that she has a long list of problems. I will probably go over there firsth thing on Monday and look into the problems.
On the week of 6/30/08 I am prepping 3 servers that will be exciting and fun. On July 4th weekend I will be going to Cedar Point Amusement park with the family. I will be taking a lot of pictures with the new digital camera.

On Call 6-23-08 and 6-24-08
I started on call again on Monday. I haven’t been called or haven’t gone in for anything. My main tasks for the this week will be PC refresh. I have installed 4 computers so far. I have 4 more computers to install. I have two computers that are done and just need to be installed. I have to wait until they are not working because I will disrupt their work flow when I install the new computers. I don’t get that because everyone else is happy that they are getting a new computer. The ones that I am going to do last are going to be a pain because they have so much software on the computers. The last part of the PC refresh is doing the dreaded paper work.

PayPerPost Network
After many of months trying to get into PayPerPost I have finally got into it. They are one of the biggest pay you 2 blog networks that I know of. They will give you money to do blog reviews. On their website they have a full blog ethics page that the blogger has to follow. I think this is a good idea to have because it is a standard that you have to follow. It is easy to understand and it is in black and white.
I can choose what opportunity that I want and PayPerPost doesn’t choose for me. Some pay you 2 blog networks force you to take the opportunities and they don’t really fit into your blog. You have to be really creative. I can choose the niche that I want to talk about. The posts that you do take have different monetary value.
If your blog has a bigger page rank you are going to get better opportunities so it makes you strive even more to get a better page rank. I am going to strive to increase my page rank and try to make more money online. Everyone that is reading this should try and get into this network because it can help you earn money online.
To make more money in this game you have to be in different networks. I am in couple networks that pay good. I am hoping this will pay as good or even better for me.

Jason and Deanna’s House Party
On Sunday I went to Jason and Deanna’s party. It was at 1:00 PM. They moved to Fulton NY so they can be close to Oswego and Syracuse. This was our first time seeing their place. I rode with Jen and Andy. It is a very nice 1 bedroom apartment that they got. We had the usual people. We had a very nice layout of food and beer. We had different kinds of salads, pork sandwiches, hot dogs, and sausages. There was also different kind of deserts. Here are some pictures that I took with my cell phone.
Everyone looks kind of tired because they went out on Saturday and stayed out too long. The keyword of the day is glass sink.

Josh and Stephanie’s Wedding
On Saturday June 21st I went to Josh and Stephanie’s wedding. They had their wedding at Dewitt Community Church. After the ceremony they had the reception at Orchard Vali Golf Club. The wedding was nice. It wasn’t very long which is always good. I then drove with my friends parents because I wouldn’t know how to get to the reception if my life depended on it. The reception was also very nice. Here are some pictures that I took with my cell phone. I know I should have brought my digital camera.

My Blogging Setup
I was reading on some of the popular blogs that they are showing their blogging stations. Here is my computer and monitors. I have dual monitor setup. One is a 19″ LCD monitor and the other one is a 17″. Once you have a dual monitor setup you can’t go back to just one monitor. The same saying goes once you go from dial up to broadband you can’t go back. The computer is a 2.10 GHZ AMD Athlon with 896 MB of Ram. My desk is very dusty and I haven’t cleaned it. I usually clean it once a year when I see dust on the computer. I have a lot of paper around my computer. Here are the pictures.
It is not the most powerful computer in the world. I don’t do a lot of gaming so I don’t need that type of work horse. I also have a MAC under my desk. The MAC is 1 GHZ dual processor with 512 MB of RAM with OS X.

- June 13, 2008 Luther “Luke” Ellison, born March 30, 1926, of Port Orange, Florida, formerly of East Syracuse, NY, passed away Friday after a long illness. Luther retired from New Process Gear, a division of Chrysler Corp., after 30 years, and was a member of UAW local 624. Luther was a Past Commander of the American Legion Arthur Butler Post 359 in East Syracuse, NY, and was a former member of the East Syracuse Fire Dept. He served in the U.S. Navy & Naval Reserve, and was an active member of the USS Mount McKinley Association. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason. Luther is survived by his companion of 30 years, Eleanor Bartman of Port Orange, FL; his sons, Robert (Sharon) of East Syracuse, NY, Thomas (Betty) of Pompey, NY, and Eric (Racina) of East Syracuse, NY; along with seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler 3800, Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.lohmanfuneralhomes.com. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Daytona.

Computer at Work
Have I told you the specs of my computer at work? I have dual 19″ wide screens. The computer is 3.0 GHZ with 512 MB of Ram. The operating system is Windows XP. Here is a picture of my monitors. The company that makes the monitors is Acer. They make good monitors. We have a few that go bad and need to be replaced or fixed by Acer. The company that makes the computer is a local company called Seneca Data. The turn around for an RMA is not bad at all. They are really fast in fixing the problems.
