NY State Fair
I went to the New York State fair yesterday. I went with Andy, and Zack. We bumped into Courtney and Jeff. We went around with them for little bit. Tom and Mellisa met us at the fair little bit later. We ate food and walked around seeing the different buildings. I had Kangaroo meat, and alligator meat. Those were the two exotic foods that I had today. The alligator meat tasted like chicken tenders and the Kangaroo meat tasted like steak. They were both pretty good. Here are some pictures from the day. I think I will probably make couple of posts to show all of the pictures that I took.

Moving boxes for moving
I found a website where you can get moving boxes. I remember when my sister was moving to her apartment and we needed some boxes. The best plan was to get to a garbage bin at a local business and look for them in there. At the website you can buy all things about moving. You can buy the boxes, tape, and Stretch Wrap. The prices are pretty good. They also have moving tips for first time movers that haven’t step out of their parents house.

Social Networking sites
How many times a day does everyone check their social networking pages? Some examples of a social networking site is facebook, twitter, linkedin, and etc. I check facebook twice a day. Once in the morning and once when I get home from work. I don’t really check twitter that much. MySpace I don’t check at all unless someone sent me a message or tagged me in a photo. I think social networking sites help you keep in contact with your friends and family. It is also nice to see what everyone is doing.
Social networking sites can help you gain visitors and help you network. I know atleast 1 to 2 visitors come to this website from facebook, or twitter a day. Social networking sites do help you. Can they also be bad? Sure they can also be bad because you are putting a lot of information out there for people to read on these sites. If you search really hard you can find information about anything on anyone.

Ramblings
I saw on shoemoney.com that you can add your webmaster tools on your igoogle homepage which is cool. You can also sign up for google ad manager which is cool. I signed up but I have to play around with it and see how it works.
Work has been going great no catastrophic happenings like last week. I have been just doing tickets. I am going to the NY state fair probably this Saturday with the family. Tonight when I go to the B2 I have to see when everyone else wants to go.

A Guy Jumped at Carousel Mall
I was reading a news article at Syracuse.com tallking about how the parents are blaming Carousel Mall because they didn’t put up nets in the atrium. I agree with putting up nets. If you want to read the article then Click Here. The guy put people at risk from jumping over the edge. A security guard tried to talk the guy from jumping but he jumped anyways. This guy was going to find a way to kill himself. He just found a easy way out. People said that the security guards didn’t try to help him after he jumped. He was already dead from jumping 100 ft. The guy has been depressed why didn’t the family get him some help. I am sorry this guy died but don’t blame Carousel because your son wanted to die.

USA wins Gold for men’s basketball
It is about god damn time USA men’s basketball team win gold. This is our sport to win Gold. It was a close game with a score of 118 -107. Spain won the silver and Argentina the bronze. I am glade that we won gold. It is a big boost and hopefully we will be power houses in the next olympics to come.

Colleges want to lower the drinking age
There was a new article saying that colleges have signed a petition to lower the drinking age, so they can combat the underage kids from using fake ids, stop them from binge drinking. They want to lower the drinking age to 18. I think it is a good idea because if you can vote, go into the military, and marry then you should be able to buy alcohol. At 18 if they want to drink they are going to find way to get the alchol. There are field parties across the United States where underage drinking is going on. The 18 year olds might get alcohol for the younger teens but they are also going to find way to get it. What does everyone else think?

On Call Day 4 - Major server crashed that is DOA
On thursday we had one of the major servers crashed that crashed before pretty good but they didn’t do a migration of the data to the new cluster. They ended up moving that data and then giving the new cluster the aliase of the old server so that the applications will still work. It was an interesting Thursday, and really it has been an interesting week.
