Father’s Day Gift Ideas for the frugal person

Here are 4 Father’s Day Gift ideas that you can’t go wrong with. They are for the frugal person that doesn’t like to spend their money. I think these gifts are more personal to give to your dad. Like I did for Mother’s Day I will probably do the same. I just gave my mom a card and $20 so she and my dad can go out a listen to some music on a Saturday night.
1. Make him a Father’s day card
You don’t need to spend money on your father because he would enjoy a hand made card that says I love you dad. You made the card it didn’t come from the store. You can also add couple of scratch off or something. Atleast the card came from your heart and not on a store rack.
2. You can cook him dinner
What father wouldn’t want their kids to cook him a dinner and clean up after the dinner. Your mother would even enjoy this so she wouldn’t have to do any of it.
3. Wash his car
You can wash your familys cars so your father wouldn’t have to. All you have to do for this gift is too buy soap and rag. You probably can find all of this in your garage where your dad stores that kind of stuff.
4. Yard Service
This will be easy for you to do yard work for your dad. Your dad would be happy because he doesn’t have to do this. I always like to ride the riding lawn mower when I lived at my parents house and I also loved to go the top speed when doing the lawn. What fun times it was to do the lawn.
Also happy Father’s Day to all of the fathers out there.
Display Administrator Account on the Welcome Screen
By default, the Administrator account is not displayed on the Welcome Screen. To log in to the Administrator account, press Ctrl+Alt+Del, release the Del key, and press it again, while still holding down the Ctrl+Alt keys. This will change the Welcome Screen login to the Windows 2000 style log in, where you can now type Administrator and the password for the Admin account.
You could also add the Administrator to the Welcome Screen:
Start the Registry Editor
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ Winlogon \ SpecialAccounts \ UserList \
Right-click an empty space in the right pane and select New > DWORD Value
Name the new value Administrator
Double-click this new value, and enter 1 as it’s Value data
Close the registry editor
You should also do this on any account that you want displayed on the welcome screen
Jon and Kate Announcement Spoiler

I think I was right when I wrote my first post about Jon and Kate. If you want to read my first post that I did then Click Here. I said I think they are probably getting a divorce. So again I think thier announcement is going to be that they are getting a divorce. What do you think their announcement is going to be?
Here is thier big life changing announcement promo that is airing on TLC. If you can’t see the video then Click Here
The special announcement will be made during a special one-hour episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8 on Monday, June 22 at 9:00 p.m. E.T on the TLC channel. Are you going to watch it?
Update
I watched the show and jon and kate did file for divorce so guess what I was right about the announcement. If they are not happy then that is good that they separated. In another retrospect that it is bad for the children because they don’t have the two parents in the house. Do you think the show should end now? I would think they would talk to some councilors first, but I guess they didn’t.
What do you like a Video or Audio podcast?
What one do you prefer an audio or a video podcast? I don’t really listen to audio podcasts that much, but I do like videos. The only audio podcast that I listen to is Twit and shoemoney shows. I am a visual learner and that is why I like videos more then audio podcasts. If you’re an auditable learner then you are probably going to tend to like audio podcasts more. If I was going to do them for this website I would probably lean toward more videos but I would also do audio podcasts because some of my visitors have a different learning style. What one would you put on your website? You just need to make sure that you do what your visitors like to do.
Myspace Laying Off Employees

I was watching TV today and I saw that Myspace is laying off a lot of their employees. I think the figure was around 30% of their workforce. I don’t think that is ever a good sign. In the news report it said that they want to be more competitive with facebook because they have less employees then Facebook and Facebook is gaining more ground then Myspace. Does anyone think they are going bye bye soon? I don’t really get onto Myspace that much anymore. I am on facebook a lot to see what my friends are doing but that is about it. So the question what do you think about Myspace laying off people?
People fighting online

When you fight online all you are doing is hurting yourself. Is it going to solve anything if you fight with someone online? I don’t think it will. If you are a huge blog you are just giving the other person more exposure. Do you really want that for someone that did something wrong to you? I wouldn’t want to give the person huge exposure like that. I would say don’t break a sweat over it just be happy.
If you see something wrong I would say talk to the person before getting made and start typing away because words that are online can’t be taken back. My rant is over about peopl fighting online. What do you think about is?
Facebook and Usernames

I know people have already claimed their own names on facebook by now but if you didn’t know that you can claim a unique name that you can direct people to go. If you want to setup your own unique name in facebook you can head over to facebook.com/username. I already got mine.
If you want to visit my facebook page then head over to facebook.com/greg.ellison. I didn’t do it at 12:00 AM like everyone else tried I did it the next morning. Did everyone else get their name that they wanted? They should have implemented this when Myspace did, but I think they got a lot of good press about this and it got people to talk about Facebook. I like Facebook better then Myspace because it is more refined I think. Do you like one or the other? I still have a Myspace account and that is not going to go, but I think you need to be on all of the social networking sites to interact with people online. It will make people find you easier also.
Masters of Science in Information Security
I think it would be cool to do some IT security work. At Lewis University Online you can get your Masters of Science in Information Security. At Lewis University you can go with two different concentrations. If you want to do a managerial or a technical concentration then Lewis University has these two concentrations. I would probably go with the technical concentration because I like the technical sides of things. I always love hands on learning because that is how I learn the best and at Lewis University that do a lot of hands on training in the curriculums.
You know why online degrees are the way of the future is because you have more flexibility of your time, the price of taking online courses will be probably less then traditional colleges. You don’t have to be tied to going to campus all of the time. You will be doing your work at the comfort of your house. At Lewis Univerity they have their Regional Accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission and they are a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
If you want to look at their Masters of Science in Information Security and learn more then go to www.lewisuniversityonline.com. You can also speak to an advisor by dialing 1-866-967-7046.

Digital TV is in, and Analog TV is out

Is everyone ready for the digital TV transition? I am all set I have digital cable so I don’t have to worry about it. Analog TV is going bye bye tomorrow. You can get the digital-converter boxes at your local chain stores like walmart and best buy. You can purchase your digital converter box on your own, or with the help of the TV Converter Box Coupon Program. You can apply for the DTV coupons at www.dtv2009.gov, and fill out the information so they will send you the coupon. Your local TV stations will probably have a phone banks setup so people can call in and ask questions about the transition.
Also here is a funny video that probably everyone has seen but it is still funny. I can’t put the video on the blog so if you want to watch it then you have to Click Here.
