CommentLuv why you should install it

I think Commentluv is one of the best plugins to reward people that comment onto your blog. CommentLuv will link back to one of your reader’s last blog post. A visitor will see the post title and if it interests them then they will click on it. If your blog is a dofollow and you use commentluv then a lot of people will comment on your blog. This is a win win situation all around. To download the CommentLuv plugin you will need to go to comluv.com/download. You should also register your site by going to comluv.com/member.

CommentLuv was easy to install. It is like any other plugin that you download for your WordPress theme. You need to activate it and give it a try. If it doesn’t work it might be another plugin interfering with it or it could be your theme. On iblogplanet.com he couldn’t get CommentLuv to work because it was his theme. This is just an example what you need to look out for when installing Commentluv.

I make it so when someone comments that CommentLuv is on checked by default so commentors don’t have to do anything and I also use the word CommentLuv Enabled instead of showing a graphic. I think the fewer graphics I use the better the loading times. You need to then enter your comment forms variables. It should be the standard ones unless you make your commenters do something different like entering another variable. Is CommentLuv enabled on your blog? Pictures of New York State Fair

Here are the pictures that I took on Saturday. I am going to put them up in a slideshow because there are bunch of them and I don’t want to resize them. Here they are I hope everyone likes them.

I missed a lot of the buildings on Saturday, and I didn’t stay to the whole concert of shine down. It was OK time not the best. I brought $60 with me to the fair, but only spent $20 so it wasn’t that bad. I had some good food and had some beer, but I spent it with my friends. When the Shine down was playing their was a lot of people watching this band. After the fair we had the chili and it was damn good. Have fun with your friends and family.

Heading to the New York State Fair on Saturday

It should be a lot of fun. The New Yrok State Fair started on Thursday. I am going with bunch of my friends and then watch Shine down which is going to be a free concert. I am going to bring my camera and I am already charging the batteries for it. Sunday I will probably post pictures of the Saturday event. How many gamers are out there?

How many gamers are out there? If you play xbox 360, computers games, or the play station please stand up. I think this will make a cool poll to see how many readers are gamers and who is not.

I haven’t really got into the games for the computer. Probably my computer setup really sucks. I only have 768 MB of RAM, and I think 128 MB of RAM on my graphic card. I wrote another post talking about I really need to get a new computer. When I was a teenager and use to go to the computer shows that were at the fair grounds in Syracuse I use to buy games on a floppy disk that only had one or two levels. I would get lost in the games that out there now.

At Charity Gift Cards you let someone pick what charity they want to get involved with. These would be perfect for holiday gifts. This goes along with Shoemoney’s charity work, but you can let your friends and relatives pick the charity that they want to get involved with. You buy a charity card with preset amount for your friends and family and they pick the charity to send the money to. This is all 100% tax deductible for the purchaser. You can buy using your credit card or paypal account.

I like this because sometimes it is hard to know what to get your friends and family. I might have to try this one of these days to see how good it works out. I like the idea of it. What do you think of the idea?

Do you use inventory software at work?

If you work for a big employer and if you buy a lot of hardware for your organization then you need some sort of inventory software. We have a inhouse software that was made by someone in the IT department long time ago. We have a huge growing list of printers, fax machines, computers, and other devices that are in the realm of the IT department. If you don’t have some sort of inventory management software you can get confused really easy and it is management nightmare.

I think their is three ways you can get inventory software and that is you can make it yourself, buy it, or try the free software out. I am always up for trying things that are free and open source. I think one of the best free apps is Spiceworks which will allow you do network management, Asset management, help desk, pc inventory and software reporting. That is boat load of things that this software can do. What kind of inventory software does your work use? Is it in house, off the shelf software, free software?

Anybody upgrading their operating systems at home?

You have windows 7 coming out and then the new Snow Leopard for the MAC. Are you going to be upgrading any of your work computers or home computers? I can’t try them out on my home computer because I don’t have enough RAM on my home windows computer, and my MAC is the power PC version.

One of these months I am going to buy a new computer. I would be happy with a new mini apple computer because everything else of theirs is out of my price range. I could go for a new computer with dual core or quade core processor. I then would have to buy new monitors and then I would have to make sure I get a dual video card. I wouldn’t be able to go back to a single monitor. I have a dual monitor setup at work and I also have one at home. What kind of a computer setup do you have at home?

On Call for 8/17/09 – 8/24/09

I haven’t done one of these in a long time. This week I have been on call for work. Here is a little bit about work. I work for a hospital in Syracuse, NY. I am on call one week out of the month. This week was very busy for the on call person (me). I haven’t had a very busy week being on call and it was time for one of those weeks. I think it is great to have one of those weeks once in awhile.

8/21/09 – Got a Call at 4:30 AM but not my problem
8/22/09 – Got a Call at 9:51 AM but not my problem
8/23/09 – Got a Call at 2:06 AM but I had to stop and start a printing service
8/23/09 – Got a Call at 9:50 AM but this time I had to go in and put in loaner fax and printer equipment

What video place do you publish your video at?

You have all these different video publishing places that are on the internet. What place do you like to put them on? I think the one that gets the biggest audience is YouTube. I will usually put it on YouTube first and then I will put it on Vimeo. I like Vimeo because it looks very crisp and clean looking then YouTube.

Here is a list I think are the top 3 video publishing sites that are on the internet.

There are also places where you can send your video to multiple video publishing places with just one click of the mouse. You can go to tubemogul.com and on this website is where you can publish too many different video publishing sites. Do you guys use this kind of service?

Keeshond Dogs Website

Here is a new website that I built. I found a free template and used that for the website. I think it turned out pretty good. I am going to do an e-course. It will be a 10 day e-course with information, and then I have a e-book for sale for $5. I think this is reasonable offer for it. I have done 1 Article about Keeshond Dogs. I was looking for the keyword that I used on my first article and I am on the front of the search result in the 3rd position. Here is a screenshot of that position. That is pretty damn fast to see those results. I need to write more articles on those keywords that I used to see what the results that I get.
