How to enable CD Ripping / Burning for Restricted Users

I had to use this at work. We had a restricted user that needed to burn with special software I use this to let them burn in the software. I found this guide at http://www.nch.com.au/kb/10008.html.

Run gpedit.msc this is the local policy editor on the computer in Windows.

Select the following:

Local Computer Policy ->
Computer Configuration ->
Windows Settings ->
Security Settings ->
Local Policies ->
Security Options

Enable the option ‘Devices: Restrict CD-Rom access to locally logged-on user only.’

You should now reboot your PC. Restricted users can now burn CDs.

It was very easy to do, and after I rebooted the computer our restricted user was able to show burning icon in the software that burns CDs for them.

Snow and Holes in Shoes

In Syracuse we have had a lot snow on Thursday. I have known that my work shoes have holes in them but I haven’t gone to a store to get some new ones. I had to walk around my work all day with wet shoes and little bit of my pants were wet. It wasn’t fun. I am glad that half of the day I was doing installs remotely.

Update – Google Adsense Payment, Final Car Update

I got $106.13 from Google today so I took my parents to the Chinese Buffet to eat dinner on a snowy day. Here is a picture of one my plates. I really like a lot of the chicken, but I know it is not that healthy but it is so damn good. This is where all the fat people go to eat. I am fat so I can say these things.

I also got my car back. It cost me $1,514.70 to fix my car so hopefully there is no more trouble with it. It was in the shop for around 1 1/2 weeks. I don’t want any more bills like this unless I am buying something that I want. I am glade I got the car this week instead of next week because I am on call.

Neglecting the blog

I think I have been neglecting this blog. I need to come with some great content and not some weird shit. I need to brainstorm and come up with some post ideas in the next couple of days. So how has your blogs been doing this month?

I know I haven’t been responding to comments like I should. I think my problem has been my car. Not having a ride can get you down. You have to rely on someone to take you to work and back it is not fun. It will change hopefully I will get my car today or wednesday.

Online Degrees

What is your take on online degrees? Also would your get your masters degree online ? You know my take on it. If I could afford it and if I need it for my job then I would go for an online degree. Employers look for experience and then your education. The better you can mesh everything together I think you could ask for a higher income.

How would your rate an online school? I would look to see if they are accredited. I would also look at the cost of going to school. I would also look at multiple reviews if I can find them.

I like Western Governs University because they are accredited university. It is tailored to someone that is looking for an online education. Their tuition is very cheap because they are an a non-profit school, and more afforable then other schools. They have a bunch of IT related degrees that I would be looking for.

Western Governors University

I think online degrees are the way to go if you have a busy life. It is better then traveling to a campus and taking classes the traditional way. I took classes the traditonal way and I commuted back and forth. It was a strain sometimes to do that. The 3rd and 4th year of college I should have taken online classes to help the commute to school.

At Western Governors University you can also get your masters degree online for the busy worker and family person. If you want to move up the career ladder sometimes you need to get a higher education. I wouldn’t mind getting my Masters degree. Also WGU is a fully accredited.

Car Update #3

I thought I was going to get the car on Friday but the car hard started for the shop manager. They want to get the car right, but the car has been in the shop for a week. I just hope they figure the hard starting. I took it to Midas about the hard starting and they said oh these cars do that just turn it on and then off and then back on again it should start well guess that was ill in form.

I think the car needs a good colon cleanse. If you want to give your self a colon cleanse then head to www.weightlossnutrition.org/category/colon-cleansers so you can find the right one.

I just want the stupid car to be fixed. It really does suck when you don’t have wheels to go places. My mom thinks I can get a good trade in value for my car when it gets fixed but I don’t want to add any more money ontop a new loan. I will have one more update on the car when they fix it and a picture of what the car looks like.

Natural Acne Remedy

I was doing some searches on Google for natural acne remedy. There are a lot of remedies out there for curing Acne naturaly. The website that I was looking at was http://www.grannymed.com/meds/acne.aspx. Some of them really looking interesting and a little scared.

One treatment you mix rose water and lemon juice together, but it says you might feel a little stinging sensation. Maybe that one won’t be for me. I think you need look at all different kinds of treatments to see what works best for you, and you should also see your doctor for help.

Car Update

The car had a lot wrong with it. The good thing the auto warranty that I got is going to pay half of the bill on two things that went on the car. My coverage ended last month but they said they would cover half because I didn’t use my warranty at all.

It will only cost me around $1,272.00 for the repair bills. I know that is a lot but I don’t want to get a new car because I am still paying on this car. If I did get a new car my loan would be a lot more because it would be the new loan payment and what ever is left on the car that is in the shop. I hope this will be the only things that this car needs for major fixes.
