How to do a blog broadcast in Aweber

I know this has been done before. It is very simple to do. It will probably take 5 seconds to create it. This is probably a must do if you own a blog.

You want to click on the list that you want to do a blog broadcast for. On the dashboard of Aweber you want to over over Messages and then click on Blog Broadcast. Then you want to click on the the green button that say Create New Blog Broadcast. Please look at the screenshot below.

When you click on the green button to creat the blog broadcast it will take you to another page. You want to first pick a template that you want and then click on the button that says load template this will activate all other fields so you can enter data.

You want to enter your RSS feed in the input box that says RSS Feed URL which mine is www.gregellison.net/feed. What I like to do is change the subject line. I left {!rss_channel_title} which will grabe the name of the Feed and then add Email Newsletter.

When I send you this message the subject will look like Greg Ellison Email Newsletter. So between the channel link and channel description I like to add something in their to personalize it. Mine says “Welcome to the Greg Ellison Email Newsletter. Here’s what has been going on at www.gregellison.net for the last couple of days. Your comments and suggestions are always welcomed. ” You also want to do that for the non html form. You want to send the broadcast immediately and pick how many posts do you want it to send off to your subscribers when it reaches a certain amount. Then you can review the blog broadcast or you can Save the Blog Broadcast. That is all there is. Hope you like this post.
