How to get backlinks for your blog
I did a post about my goals for 2009. I know people are doing the samething that I am doing they are making a post about their 2009 resolutions. You can comment on all the blogs that have a goals posted. If you do a little search in Google for goals for 2009 you will come up with 10 pages of results that you can post a comment on the different blogs that are out there.
You can also do this for other posts to. Kushmoney has a really good post on the top 3 easiest backlinks. I thought this was pretty good and very easy to do. I know most people are already doing this but it is still a good post.
You should be spending some of your time on getting backlinks to your blog. Commenting on other people’s blog is the easiest way to do it. There are other ways to get backlinks but that can be for another post.
You should also be commenting on Dofollow blogs to give your links more authority. If you want to just comment to get your name and blog out there then you can do what I posted above. I think all blogs should be Dofollow.

You’re not really getting much value though since most blog comments are nofollow.
What you are getting instead, if you’re commenting on blogs related to your niche, is new readers and subscribers

You are right that you want to go after dofollow blogs for backlinks. It is a good idea to comment on different blogs so that you get your name out there like you said. Greg
Wesley,
There are tools to check if a blog has “dofollow” comments.
Yeah blog commenting is the easiest and free way to get backlinks, but sometimes this only results to huge traffic without conversion. So, the best thing to do, of course, is to comment to related blogs.
