Do You Really Need A Check List

So Today I saw that Darren Rowse has a new ebook out for the bloggers that need a checklist to write some content.

It is suppose to help you with the following:

1.Writing — How to write engaging compelling posts.
2.Scannability — How to ensure your posts are easy to scan read.
3.Search engine optimization (SEO) — How to write posts that Google will like.
4.Grammar — How to avoid errors that undermine your credibility.

I say you should want to write what you think is important to you and once you write articles that you like people will find your articles. You can do titles for the sections in your blog post for better scanability so people can scan the article and read what sections that they want to. You also should be downloading an SEO plugin for your blog. There are a lot of free ones out there. The one that I am using is called ALL IN ONE SEO.

If someone is going correct me on my grammer they are going into the delete box for comments. You want to look at a blog with grammer mistakes look at Shoemoney’s blog.

Some Good News For This Blog

I was looking at the page rank for this website to my surprise it was PR 3. I don’t know when it happened but I think it is cool. It has been a PR 0 for the longest time.

I don’t believe I am it just means I worked my ass off to get visitors to come to this blog and people to link to this blog. What do you think? How is your blog doing?

Some of the servers have the PR 3 for the blog and some don’t so maybe some people won’t see the page rank. It looks like the majority is PR3.

POOR MANS VIDEO BLOGGING SETUP

Here is the video of the poor mans video blogging setup that I have at my apartment. I should get a flip video camcorder or expensive hd one, but I would probably opt in getting a flip because it is the least amount of money and the time to upload video is not that long.

Writers Block? Do You Have It?

I have it most days haha that why my posts are late lately. I was reading a post on someones blog called I Don’t Have Anything to Blog for Today, Help!.

I think he is true on all of the points that he posted. If I have a writers block I will go read other people post in my RSS reader, go look at Google Trends. I will also see if I have taken any new pictures. There are a lot of different areas where you can get a post ideas.

If I don’t have anything really to talk about I will write a paid post. Could that be the poor post that Melvin talks about harming my blog. At my life right know if I don’t have anything to say I will just not make a post for the day.

You can be walking down to your local gas station and bam an idea for a post hits you. That has happened before. When I am at work it comes to me sometimes. I always carry a pen with me in my car just for this reason.

Saw a Question this Morning at blazingminds.co.uk

Do you blog as hard as you did when you started on Day one? I would say no I do not. It is already established blog with lots of posts. I think I have been slacking a lot and I am also getting lazy with it. I don’t do any social media stuff like I use too. I also don’t comment on other blogs like I use too also.

Another Blog Milestone

I did a post on reaching 1,000 comments well I have another milestone for this blog. It is reaching 1,000+ posts. I try to post everyday but it seems like it is getting harder everyday. You still truck on and still come up with new posts.

I try to stick with the posting schedule and that has been one post a day. You shouldn’t feel bad if you miss a day. You can always schedule posts or don’t post at all.

Have you Updated to WordPress 3?

I would wait to update until you see your plugins get updated because a lot of people are seeing problems. I updated yesterday morning and I should have waited. The updated went without a hitch but when I updated a post or hit publish I just got a white page with the title. I searched the forum but with no luck on the problem.

I disabled all of the plugins and went that way until I saw any problems when I hit update, save draft. It seems like everything is working fine.

Here are some issues people are having:

Fatal Issue with Allowed memory size exhausted
Incompatible Plugins
White screen after upgrade

Am I Pimping Myself Out For This Blog

Paid post are something that can make you good money but they are like pimping your blog out for the lowest money also. Paid posts will give you the weirdest keywords they can be like diet supplements that work. You have to use it in a post some how. It seems like these companies are restricting your freedom of your blog. I don’t know if I like all of these restrictions.

They say now we can’t show our screen shots from Paypal of sighting of possible hack attemps. What does that make sense? I don’t think so. Well they have a username for paypal and they can enter a password until they get in or it disables their account for a little bit. They shouldn’t putting restrictions on my blog. I do make a lot of money with them so it is tough decision to make. Do you still use paid posting companies?

New Blog: HELPSTOPSNORING.ORG

I wanted to try to creat a new blog / niche website about helping people stop snoring or people that need sleep aids to go to sleep. It was a very fun website. I am still adding content. I have written bunch articles on http://ezinearticles.com/, and other article directories.

What have I made so far from it. I haven’t really made nothing to speak about. I just did a report in Google Adsense and it says I have only made $1.28. That really sucks if you look at the time invested. It takes time to make money from your websites and blogs so don’t rush and think your going to make a lot of money really quick.

Comments on the blog

Today I saw couple of comments with keywords in the body of the comment. This isn’t going to fly unless in the post I say add a link to your site specific kind of post like income reports that I miss.

The link was no follow but this person put a keyword with their website that is shady.

I like mobile blogging because I was running late but I still can write this post. Please watch what you write and go along with the post.

Here is a comment that I am talking about that is not acceptable on this blog.
