Are you unhappy with the government?
If you are unhappy with the government then you should be doing something about it. I was reading comments on local story saying that Caroline Kennedy is trying to get Hillary’s old position as U.S. Senator and coming to Syracuse, NY to talk to very high power people here. She has no qualifications except that her family has been in U.S. politicals all her life. If people are not happy they shouold be writing and emailing the Governor telling him this.
A very good example of doing something about your government is the election of President-Elect Barak Obama. People didn’t like the republican party because of President Bush so they elected Obama. Hoepfully he can do something different to turn this country around in the right direction.

Shoes thrown at President Bush on Iraq trip
I just watched the video on the tv about a report throwing a shoe at President Bush. He threw both of his shoes at him. President Bush didn’t feel concerned about it. I was wondering where were the secret service agents. The reporter that threw the shoe was Al-Zaidi an Iraqi journalist with Egypt-based al-Baghdadia television network. He was yelling “This is a farewell kiss you dog”. Which is a very big insult to call someone a dog and hit someone with a shoe.

Do what you want to do. Don’t follow others.
You shouldn’t follow everything that someone else is doing. You should beat to your own drum. On your own blog you can do anything you want. It is your real estate. It is your home. You should just be you.
You should write content that is new and will draw more people to read your blog. Don’t regurgitate the content you should make it your own. You should be posting on social book marking sites so your content will get out there.

Unusual ways to make extra income
I was reading a story on CNN that talked about unsual ways to make extra income. I thought the list was pretty interesting. If you have any more unusual or any other ways to make extra income I want to hear about it.
Here is the list
Sell your hair - People are getting a lot of money to sell their own hair. All you ladies out there that have long hair here is your chance to make extra income from online.
Medical Experiments - This is just weird and dangerous, but this one guy made $28,000 dollars last year on medical experiments. That is just crazy. If you are desperate for extra income then this if for you.
Sell your gold at Gold parties - People are having Gold Parties and regular people are selling their broken gold bracelts, tangled chains. You can make serious cash this way. They say that people have around $300.00 just sitting around the house. That is a lot of money wasting away.
Here is the list that I am starting
Rent your spare bedroom - If you have an extra room that you are not using why not get on craigslist and rent it out.
Computer Repair Technician - I do this sometimes. It is great money but very time consuming.

Weekend happenings
I went out on Saturday to Armory Square with my mom and cousin. We went to PJ Dorsey. Then on Sunday my Niece had her 5th birthday party. She had around6 kids that went. That was fun for her. We then as a family went to Walmart for a family pictures. That was my weekend. I will be on call this week from Monday 12/8/08 until 12/14/08. I will start to do the on call posts. Here is a picture of her birthday party.

Setup Bart PE and Ghost How to
The first requirement of this How to is that you already installed Bart PE and that you have a windows installation disk so that it can pull the windows files that it needs.
You want to install the network interface card or NIC drivers to Bart PE and if your hard drive is SATA then you want to add the SATA drivers.
To add network drivers to the boot CD you want to go to C:\pebuilder3110a\drivers\Net. For every new NIC you want to create a folder.
To add SCSI adaptors or Sata adaptors then you want to go into the following directory C:\pebuilder3110a\drivers\SCSIAdapter. You will add a new folder for the new adaptor.
To get BartPE to map a drive and load the network I had to change two files in C:\pebuilder3110a\plugin\penetcfg folder. The two files that I changed were penetcfg-dhcp.ini and autorun0penetcfg.cmd.
In the file autorun0penetcfg.cmd I have the following

rem call mstcp.cmd

This will load the penetcfg-dhcp.ini file at starting the network support.
In the file penetcfg-dhcp.ini has the following

UseStaticDNS=No
UseStaticWINS=No
IPAddress=
SubnetMask=
DefaultGateway=
DNSServer=
[NetID]
Workgroup=workgroup
[NetDrive1]

Drive = J: ;this is the network drive letter that you want
NetworkPath = the path to the network share that holds the images
UserName = the user that has access to the network share
; Password = (leave it empty to be prompted for a password)
Password = the password of the user that has access to the network share
This file will enable DHCP and will map the drive for us.
To add ghost 8 to BartPE application you will need to add couple of ghost files.
ghost32.exe
ghostcdr.dll
ghostexp.exe
ghostsrv.exe
You want to place them in C:\pebuilder3110a\plugin\ghost8\files. You will then want to go to the plugins window.
Here you can add, remove, enable and disable plugins for the BartPE environment
The first plugin that I enabled is Boot fix (enabling “Press any key to boot from CD).
The next and important plugin is Symantec Ghost 8. You want to highlight Symantec and click enable.
You are done in the plugin screen. You just want to click Close. You will go back to the main screen of PE Builder.
Type a name for the folder that will hold your files. I called mine Computers. I then click on create ISO Image and it will automatically create the ISO image. When you are ready to build the image then click on BUILD button. I then went to a computer that has the capability to burn to a CD. You should be all set to create a new network bootable CD that will be easier to use and add drivers to.
This is really easy to setup once you get it working. I like this setup because it is easy to add network drivers and SATA drivers if you need to. BartPE will automatically pick the drivers and use them. I just wanted to share this with everyone on How I set this up at work.

Google Reader gets a new look
Just yesterday Google gave Google Reader a new look. Google Reader will let you take your RSS feeds anywhere that you go. The Google Reader has a faster feel to it. It loads much the feeds faster. You just don’t want to put a lot of feeds in the reader. You can share your RSS feeds with your friends. You can look at all the RSS Feeds in one page. Here is a screen shot of the new Google Reader. Actns/Swif.T virus affecting youtube videos
Just saw this on TechCrunch about Actns/Swif.T virus affecting embedded youtube videos. People are sayig that both Firefox and Internet Explorer are infected but they are not sure. The virus contains a redirect to a phishing website embedded within a SWF file. The website installs Antivirus 2009.
There was an update to this. Google / Youtube is saying CA does a false positives that is contained within the YouTube embed codes as malware. I don’t know but people on the comments on TechCrunch say they got the virus. They had to wipe and reinstall their operating system. That is never fun to do.
The keyword of the day is spring plungers.

Black Friday Shopping
I didn’t go out this year for black friday shopping because I had to work. I was reading news stories of people getting trampled to death, a lady miscarried because she got hit. What the hell are people doing. We forgot the virtue of waiting. Everyone should have waited for the guy to open the door and move away but no.
You could have gotten everything that you got at the store online. You can be shopping at your desk instead of waiting in line since 3:00 in the morning. I am getting off my soap box now.

Thanksgiving was great
My Thanksgiving was great. I went over to my uncles to eat. We had all of the Ellison’s their. We are going to have another Thanksgiving with just my mom, dad, sister, and her two kids which will great also. I will be all turkey out by the end of the month. How was everyone’s Thanksgiving? Did everyone have a big Thanksgiving or a low key one?
