Start on call this week
I start my on call this week. So everyone knows what that means I will be writing about my on call experience at my job. I know I have a lot of computers to put in, and I also have to install 3 laptops whenever they come in. It is going to be a interesting week.

Work Ramblings
Yesterday I went to Commonwealth to do bunch of tickets. I had to setup a fax machine / printer, install two batteries in temp probes, and setup 7 outlook profiles. I also went to Widewaters to look at a fax machine that had a black line going down the side. It was a 8 year old fax machine and not worth fixing. We had a fax machine that came back so I am using it to replace the other fax machine.
If you ever want to try some weight loss products then lab88 dot com is the site for you. They have a lot of different products that you can buy. I don’t know how good they are or if they work. It is worth a shot. Also you should always contact your doctor for advice.

Work Pager

I looked at my pager on Saturday because it was downstairs and I already had two pages. I forgot to sign out at work on our status board and operations paged me. I wrote an email saying I am going to covering on call on the week of Oct 06 - Oct 12. I don’t know what they are thinking. I am not on call this weekend. It is OK. I am going to be doing my on call posts again this week so it should be nice.
The keyword for the day is Oscar de la Renta. If you like clothing please click on the keyword of the day.

IBM Lenovo R61 Laptop
For the past couple of days I have been trying to find all the drivers that I need so that I can build 3 laptops that they need to go to the floors this week.
We had some R61 but now the drivers have changed so we have to make a new image for these bad boys. It is very time consuming to try and find the drivers. At the end of the day yesterday I was doing the ghost imgage. It was going to take around 1 hour and some change to complete holy shit that is long.
It feels like I am trying to get these to work the tickets are pilling up and I want to help but can’t because I have a deadline for these laptops. It sucks not doing the tickets because you know there is a lot of them and they just keep pilling up.

Pictures of the damage computer equipment from the flood
Here are some pictures of the computer equipment. We had a storage room that got flooded pretty good that had monitors, keyboards, cables, and their was a very important device that thank god nothing happened to it. Some this equipment also came from employee offices that got hit hard. It is amazing how fast the water can erode and rust the parts of a computer.

2nd day and users
The second day was good and very rough at the same time. I can’t understand how a user can make your day go from good to bad all in the same day. Today is a new day. The CIO came up and said Hi and shook my hand. It is pretty cool that the top two people in the IT department came and welcomed me to crouse and all that.

First Day on the job
I had my first day on the new job at Crouse Hospital. The director of IT came up stairs and introduced him self to me, and I shook his hand. I then spent the whole day installing software with Jason at the Marley building. Jason also took me out to lunch at Varsity Pizza shop. They serve pizza and sandwiches.

Orientation at Crouse Hospital
I had day 1 of orientation at Crouse Hospital and I have to say it was pretty cool. We had some nice group activities. We toured the hospital, and we had a nice lunch and they served desert afterwards. The ceo Dr. Paul Kronenberg came and talked with us at the end of orientation. He went around and asked us some questions. The questions are where will we be working, we had to say our names, and say our job title. There is some things that have changed like a new lobby at the hospital. I saw some of the people that I am going to be working with.
Also on another note, I have posted 100 posts so far and there will be more coming.
