First Day on the job
I had my first day on the new job at Crouse Hospital. The director of IT came up stairs and introduced him self to me, and I shook his hand. I then spent the whole day installing software with Jason at the Marley building. Jason also took me out to lunch at Varsity Pizza shop. They serve pizza and sandwiches.
Orientation at Crouse Hospital
I had day 1 of orientation at Crouse Hospital and I have to say it was pretty cool. We had some nice group activities. We toured the hospital, and we had a nice lunch and they served desert afterwards. The ceo Dr. Paul Kronenberg came and talked with us at the end of orientation. He went around and asked us some questions. The questions are where will we be working, we had to say our names, and say our job title. There is some things that have changed like a new lobby at the hospital. I saw some of the people that I am going to be working with.
Also on another note, I have posted 100 posts so far and there will be more coming.
Orientation on Monday
I start orientation for my new job tomorrow. I am very excited about it. I am going to start working at Crouse Hospital.
New Job
I went to Crouse and did all the paper work for the new job. I got my PPD read and it was negative. I have a 2 day orientation then on Wednesday I start up in the NES department. The job title is Network Engineer. It entails computers, server, and layer 1 and layer 2 devices.
New Job
Well I went to Crouse and had the physical, drug test, and PPD test. It was about an hour from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM. I have to go back there on wednesday and get the PPD read and meet with the human resource lady. I should start on Monday March 3rd for orientation. This is very cool. I am glade that OCC ended my contract and I took the 6 week contract at Carrols so that I would be able take the job at Crouse. OCC and Carrols gave me the experience that I needed.
Find your passion
When looking for a job you should find something that you are passion about, and what you like to do. Don’t worry about not getting the best job in your field it will come. I am still trying to find my way in the IT field. I still need to find a permanent job instead of this contracting stuff. Some good job boards are americasjobexchange.com, monster.com, dice.com/, and your local newspaper. I found that careerbuilder.com has all those work from home type job ads. I think they are all spam.
Save Your Money for a rainy day!!!!

You should save as much money that you can for a rainy day. When I took a contracting job at SUNY OCC I knew it would end someday. I am glade that I saved my money. I was a contractor for 1 year. I would be in a hole and wouldn’t be able to get out if I didn’t save my money. I finally found another contracting job but it is a short one, but I am making more money then I was at Suny OCC. This is just a rant to say save your money for a rainy day.
Just my 2 cents.
