On Call Day Three
I started to put the carts together. I have about 10 carts all put together. I still have 14 more to go. I got called in to swap a printer because they some how broke the printer in ED. I still am doing the carts because that dead line is the 14th. I still also have to go to marley and install a application on all of the training computers in the library. I need to call to see what a good time is to install.
On Call Day Two
Again I did tickets. I had one ticket for a printer that had a jam and then it would register that there was jam but there was no paper any where that I saw. HP tells me that I have to send out the printer but they give me address where I have to send it to. That is just plain dumb. Doesn’t everyone agree?
I then switched to doing the 20 laptops because they need to get out of our area. We also have the 24 rubbermaid carts that goes along with the laptops. We do not have any room to walk around in our storage area. They all should get done today or tomorrow. I still have to install an application in the library training room so people can be trained on it.
On Call Day One
For day one of being on call I just did tickets. I got a page around 8:45 PM saying a diagnostic machine was locked up. I called the user and told them to hold the power button and let it hard shutdown. I then had them restart it and it was fine. I saw in the pest patrol log that it did a scan at 8:45 PM and that taking up all the resources. I didn’t see anything in the event viewer.
On Call Day Seven
I didn’t get called in for anything. I did notice that there was ticket out there that went with my application upgrade so I took that ticket and called the user to setup the application. I was going to do this on Monday but guess he came back today instead of Monday. I just have one other person to setup the user.

On Call Day Six
I almost got called in. There was a fax machine down, but then I was on Thompson road and got another page. The operations person said they fixed it themselves. I went over to Andy and Jennifers house for a little bit. We had smores and had a fire. That was my Saturday.
On Call Day Five
I am getting a cold which is not good. On Friday I was not feeling good to be at work. The laptops that I did there is something wrong with them. I finished all 20 laptops but sometimes you will log in it will lock up. When you do a log off it will want to close explorer with end task. So I don’t know if it is my image that I used or what. I told my manager he said that we will deal with it on Monday. I don’t want to put something out on floors that are not going to work. I have to talk with my supervisor.

On Call Day Four
I finished the application install but I have to go back to two users and finish the user setup because they were on vacation. The install process went smooth and no problems. I have to find two rubbermaid carts that they said was delivered but I can’t find them at the loading dock. The tech support guy has been calling me to see where they are and if I boxed the bad cart. We are rolling out more laptop carts then ever before.
The keyword for the day is diet pills. I don’t think diet pills really work for people. They might but it is bunch of factors to loose the weight that you need. You need to be active, eat right things like that.
On Call Day Three
I was called in at around 11:40 PM because a floor broke their canon copier / fax machine. I put in a loaner fax machine and printer. I then went to all of the computers and changed the default printer to the loaner. I also made sure that I could send and receive on the fax machine. It also took three calls to get a hold of me. I got called by second shift, and then I got a call from third, and finally my supervisor called me saying operations was trying to get a hold of me. Then when I woke up I got up to late and didn’t hear my two alarms that I usually get up to. It has been one of those days.
I am at a stand still with the laptop install because I am doing the install for the new version of the application.

On Call Day Two
I am still working on the laptops. There are around 20 laptops that I need to prep. Tomorrow I am going to start installing the application that was just upgraded. I don’t really like how the application installs. The application doesn’t install to all users, and you can’t uninstall the application if you are a different user. When they called support they told us the best way to uninstall was to delete the folder and go into the registry for any traces of the application . We asked the tech support what registry entries that we had to delete and he didn’t know. Thanks support guy. 
On Call Day One
Today I was tasked to prep 20 laptops. I am done with 4 laptops. I installed a printer today but I think we shouldn’t have deskjet printers. I think if there were more then one person in the department that needs color they should buy a color laser jet. I am also tasked to upgrade a software application on 20 computers. So I have a busy week ahead of me. I also said I would cover for my coworker when he goes on vacation. He will cover my on call week in October.
