Spitzer Internet Sales Tax Plan
I was watching WSTM Channel 3 news, and they said Spitzer wants to tax people for shopping online. The biggest online retailer is Amazon.com and they are fighting Gov. Eliot Spitzer’s plan to require out-of-state online companies to collect sales tax from shoppers in New York. Gov. Eliot Spitzer has 4.4 Billion shortfall and this sales tax plan will give them about 47 million in sales tax revenue next year and $73 million the following year, budget officials said.
