Google Wave Application
So I got a Google Wave Account but I haven’t really used it. I thought it was going to be a cool thing but really you need to know people that have it. If anyone that has one if they want to talk to see how this works then my Google wave account address is gregee@googlewave.com if you want to add me.
The interface looks nice and friendly to use. There are different third party extensions that you can use that will do different things. There is Twitter, calculator, other kinds. It uses your Google Contacts heavily so if you don’t have a lot of people then you will be like me and not use it. The people that have one what do you think about it? I think the concept is good, and it can be a good collaboration application for people but I don’t think this is a day to day IM kind of application. Your thoughts on what it is good for?

I got Google Wave – and I actually haven’t logged in in several days. I’m hoping the other guys at work will use it and we can collaborate that way. We end up trading numerous IMs all day, so it’d be great to be able to have the wave stay there and even use Rewind to trace through how we got to a decision.

My department won’t do this because we are really close to each other and this wouldn’t work. We use email a lot but if we need to talk to someone we have IP telephony devices that we wear. I think if you are located in remote sites and need to collaborate on something then it would work perfectly. I tried that with:public and there are a lot public waves that are out there. I got an account last week also and have the same problem. No one I know if one it so it isn’t of much use to me. If you want I would like to sure exploring it as it will be the next big thing.
I was actually think to see if I could you it to crowd source a info product send me a wave and let see what happens.
