President Obama Wins the Nobel Peace Prize

Obama is the third US President to win the Nobel Peace prize. I think it is cool that our newest president won it. Hopefully this will give him the strength to get things accomplished that he has said he was going to do. On the site for the Nobel Peace Prize it said President Obama got it because for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.
Here is a video of President Obama speaking about him winning the Nobel Peace Prize.
What does everyone think about him winning the Nobel Peace Prize?

A lot of people have been questioning why I got the prize. Personally I think it is because they want him to stop the war in middle east. What do you think?

It might be the reason. In his presidential campaign he said he was going to bring the troops home so we will have to see what he will do. He is more likeable then Bush and people around the world gives him more respect because what he said in his presidential campaign. Greg Ellison
You don’t really want to know what I think. I been just trying to really understand what he had has done to earn this. It seem to be this is more based on what they think he will do or will accomplish.
I think this is something that you need to have a litte more action behind it before you get it. Either way he is our President and I guess we need to back him and if it helps him do more posivite things that good. I just keep wishing for the best for this great country.

I think he’s a wonderful human being, but I’m trying to figure out what they were doing. Couldn’t they have waited until the end of the presidency to see if he’d actually accomplished anything? I think it’s a little bizarre at this stage and just way too early.” — Crosby Kemper
Hey Greg!
My compliments for writing most neutral post on the subject! However, people seem to have real strong & extreme opinions on this one. However I would like to think that, whatever might be the reason for this, it encourages him to take some serious actions for peace & integrity.
