Do you Make Money on Twitter with Sponsored Tweets?

Are you making any money with Twitter like the big probloggers are? I have only made $20 something from Sponsored Tweets. I don’t think I will get any tweets from Ad.ly because I am not big enough and I think I might have a lot of bots that are following me. Hopefully I can get up to $50 which is the payout for SponsoredTweets. Then I will rearrange my account to see if I can make more money from it like the big boys and girls are doing.

Do you think Twitter will do something about this? I was reading John Chow’s blog on Sunday and he made Gawker and New York Times about his sponsored Tweeting. I think if a company is allowing you to get paid to send tweets out then why not do it. I am fine with it. If you think the person is doing too much or if you don’t like it then just unfollow that person. If you want to get on this wild frontier ride then then sign up to Sponsored Tweets and sign up to Ad.ly.

I havent made any moeny yet, as I dont have many followers.

Once I get more followers I will join and see how it goes, but I dont think you will make a lot of bucks unless you have follwers that actually convert to traffic.

I don’t have many followers so this can’t be done yet. Maybe I will give it a try once my followers are high.

If you can make money from it and it’s not against the rules, then why not. Try and milk that cow so to speak.

It is interesting how this part of marketing works. Paid blog post become very popular some time ago. Paid tweets are starting now. I believe that there will be also a market where people get paid for their facebook activities like sharing links with their friends.

As for now, I’m working on increasing my followers. Need to have high number of followers before receive any offers from advertisers.
