Do you want to be good at Email Marketing?

The big thing is to build your email list. Whoever you pick if it is Aweber or Get Response you are going to be on the right track of doing the first step in email marketing. Then you setup your blog broadcast, and the follow up emails. Then what are you suppose to do now. You created the list and people are singing up but what now.

What I like to do is sign up to other bloggers email list and see how they are doing their email marketing. I will then put all of the emails that I get and put them in a folder so I can look back at them at a later time. Some bloggers will email you every day or some will be sporadic. What are you?

I know I should email my list more but I just email the list when I reach ten posts and it sends out a blog broadcast. I have sent my list a email about one of the coaching programs that didn’t get any sales but you just need to try different things to see how it works out. I am still learning this game but you just need to try and work at it. What ever you do don’t give up.

    Why not.
Aweber is best system but little bit costly.
Would you like it instead of FeedBurner?

Greg I want to increase my email marketing bad, I have always wanted to ask you what you used to get the pre-checked Subscribe to Newsletter box, I can only imagine how many subscribers that grabs.

Have you tried iContact yet? Maybe you have an idea of iContact measures up against Aweber and Get Response.

Out of the three, I’ve only ever used iContact and I’m very happy with them, both personally and professionally through my work.

I don’t know how their price is for “personal use” though, compared to the other services.

@Surender Sharma Yes Aweber is pricey, but I say if I can make enough money through the internet to buy this then I am doing alright.

@Extreme John I use a free plugin called Aweber, and you can get it at http://www.gurucs.com/products/wordpress-aweber-plugin/

@Klaus No I have never heard of IContact before. I got Aweber because I followed the crowd when I did it. It has a very simple interface and it was easy to setup. I have no complaints.

I don’t have any experience at email marketing, but I think you’re smart that you subscribe to others and see what they’re doing too. There’s always something to learn!

Are there any data on the success of email marketing? How do people respond to a lot of such messages? I certainly don’t like to appear on these sort of lists and if I do, I point all these messages in spam or at least a special folder.

I like your idea about signing up to other bloggers email lists and save their follow-ups in a folder. It is a smart idea to learn from the success of others for sure. Great post Greg!
