Google Custom Search Engine

If you want to implement Google Custom Search on your blog / website then you need to create a new page called search so your searches will be placed on your website. Google will give you the code to do this so place that code on the page that we called search. You then take the code for the search form and place that on your side bar of your blog. That is about what I did to get Google Custom Search to work. I then had it show the ads at the top and at the bottom because my template wasn’t designed for the ads to go left or right.You should try it to make sure it works like it is suppose to.

You should have Google Search search your website instead of the world wide web. To do this add the url like www.mywebaddress.com/* and this will tell it to search your entire website. You also want to check only sites that I select in the choose search type section. You don’t want it to search the world wide web because you are taking your visitor away from your site. You want to keep them on your site as long as possible.

I have played around with Google Custom Search Engine and implemented it on my blogs. I think the cool part of Google Custom search is that when a user clicks on ad in the search page then you can get the credit for the clicked AD. I think that was the cool part. I think more people should start to use Google Custom Search Engine since it not only gives you great results but also saves your host a whole lot of work.

I added the google custom search to my blog. One thing I notice is that my blog posts get indexed a lot faster after I added the google custom search.

In one of the other posts you asked this question and I answered it. You can use action comments and their is a free one that works with aweber just search for it at the word press site. Thanks Greg Ellison
