On Call Post

I forgot to do On Call post for each day I was on call for. So this one post will do for this week. I finally got all of the mobile carts done and to the floors. The Engineering department did excellent job drilling holes so the staff can hit the power button. Hopefully We don’t have to move any of them. I haven’t been called in for anything. I got a call around 7:16 AM but for our attendance servers but I was already coming into work so that really doesn’t count for getting called in.

I still have to prep two computers and two mobile carts for PACS viewing. I will be done with this ISR and I can close it. The two mobile carts have a mini computer attached to the back with a 19″ wide screen monitor. It is pretty cool. The mobile carts are easy to move around with out issue. They will move these mobile carts into the operating rooms so they can look at medical images.

I already prepped two laptops to go on chart racks. When I was done installing them a Doctor put a coffee onto othe laptop. That won’t fly. He moved it off the laptop right away but I found it next to laptop so I moved it. I then did a walk through of that floor and found around 5 cups of liquid on top of the mobile carts or in the basket that is attached to the cart. On one floor we did a second walk through and found the same cup back on the mobile cart. I would think they would get a clue that someone moved the coffee and it shouldn’t be there. I told my manager that he should send an email to the clinical ifnromation person to send out another email telling the nurses and employees that cups of liquid shouldn’t be on these mobile carts. There is no coverage for people spilling stuff in them.
