When on call what do you like to do?

This is my 2nd time to be on call. I haven’t strayed to far from home. I only left the house once and that was to go to the bar and eat food with my friends the first time I was on call. I will get a call and most of the time I have to VPN back to the hospital and do something on the network.

I know I still need to have a life but I think staying home and do nothing is good for couple of times that I am on call to get a feel on what happens. I am still new at being on call and stuff like that. The weekdays you don’t really get a call, but the weekends you most likely will get a call.

For the people that are on call for their job, do you let being on call stop you from doing things?
