How to setup corporate email on HTC Droid Eris

Step 1: From the home screen, open the Applications Tray, and then touch Mail

Step 2: Select Microsoft Exchange Active Sync

Step 3: Enter the exchange email address and password then touch Next.

Step 4: If presented, ensure the Exchange server settings are correct then touch Next.

Email address
Domain
Username is your network username
Password is your network password

Step 5: If presented, ensure the following Exchange server settings are correct then touch Next.

Email address
Server address
Domain
Username
Password
SSL required Enabled when a green check mark is present.

Step 6: Select the desired data to synchronize with the exchange server then touch Finish setup.

    It is almost like the Motorola Droid, but some of the screens are a little different. I had to setup email on a users Droid Eris so I came up with this procedure at work. Greg Ellison

    I went through all of the steps. Once I get to the check boxes for syncing mail, contacts, and callendar, click ok. After a few seconds, it says failed to create account, please try again later.

    I would take the phone to your IT department. When I did this it synced right away without any issues. Greg Ellison

    I am trying to sync my Droid X to my corporate email and it is telling me host is unknown. I contacted Verizon and they have linked me to the corporate email but it still isn’t working. I have also downloaded the directions and followed them. I have not downloaded Touchdown.
