Learn to use the computer!!

It seems like most people don’t know how to use the computer at work. Some of the easy tasks they don’t know how to do. I have been installing 52 monitors in couple of locations and I have to show them how move an application from one monitor to another. This would make there setup now a dual monitor setup.

You should at least go to a class on the basics of a computer. The class should show the user how to turn on a computer, shutdown the computer,minimize, restore, maximize, close an application, also where you can find application if they are not on the desktop.

I think people lie when they say they know computers but they really don’t. I also want to know how they work on there own computer at home. If they don’t know how to do something do they get there kids or neighborhood kid that knows computers.

Work Update:

I have been doing a monitor install for a department. They all got a second monitor for a dual monitor setup. The monitor install took 3 days for putting in all 52 monitors, and I am still short 6 monitors. They got new 19″ AOC Wide monitors with a startech monitor adaptor. I think for this application it worked out good. I have also have used Kensington monitor adaptors. On Another big monitor install we had problems with the Startechs. There haven’t been any tickets about the dual display so that is good.
