Let’s Talk About Spyware and Malware now

Spyware and Malware is the biggest problems people have with their windows machine. I can get into the Windows vs. Mac debate but I am not going there. At work and out of work clients you will see this. People are just going to websites that are infected with Spyware and Malware on the website. I have used a lot of free software that helps cure this crap.

Here the names that I use to clean Spyware and Malware off of computers. There are more tools out there but I think this is good bunch to clean most of them out. What tools do you like to run to clean out the Spyware and Malware that you see?

Spy bot search and destroy
Combo fix – Make sure this comes from bleeping computer

CCleaner is a registry cleaner, but you can also use it to delete things out of the startup of the computer. In Windows you can go to start -> Run -> type in MSCONFIG then go to startup tab. It does the same thing. I like CCleaner because it has a lot of different features that it can do.

Sometimes you have to go into safe mode to run these because some of the Spyware / Malware like to run in the start up so you can’t get it when in regular windows. To boot into safe mode on a windows computer hit the F8 key when your computer is booting up. All you need is the Administrator Account Password. Once in safe mode then you want to run the Spyware / Malware application that you have installed.

You also might want to run a real time Spyware / Malware software. If you run a real time software hopefully it will catch it before it infects your computer. Here are couple of real time Spyware / Malware applications that you can download for free.
