Do You Have a Fish Pond?

Tom_pond

The above picture was taken at my uncle’s place. He has around 4 huge fish ponds. To take care of these ponds he has a massive pond filters. I was doing some research on how to build and see what kind of equipment I would need to start up my own fish pond. The one website that I came up to was www.pondworld.com. They have everything that you need to setup a fish pond for a reasonable price. I think I will stick with a small fish in a tank because it is going to take a lot of money that I don’t have. I might get a betta fish or something and put them in a tank.

    Hi Greg,
Your post reminded me the time I had to help out managing a fish tank. It was no easy job indeed. I would agree on going to a smaller tank at first, easy to maintain and learn about it first. What type of fish do you have in mind for your future tank?

I was thinking like betta fish because you can only have one fish. I would think this would be easy to take care of or maybe a gold fish. My mom and dad has a 100 gallen fish tank at my parents house. Greg Ellison

I haven’t bought a Betta Fish, it was just an example of one. They are not that much at a pet store. They will usually come in a plastic bowl at the pet store. Greg Ellison

Taking care of a fish pond like the one pictured is something that requires some serious dedication. If you are new to this, definitely do your research. I would suggest managing a medium sized tank first and if you enjoy it and successfully manage it you should move onto the pond afterward. Good luck with your endeavor.
