How to get free backlinks

This has probably been talked about before but if you want to get free backlinks then you will want to do some free directory submissions, article marketing, forum postings, and post on other blogs. These are all great ways to get some backlinks to your website or blog.

You can also make a video and have a link to your website in the discription box on YouTube. I have done couple of posts like that and I was getting good amount of people coming from other search engines and the videos. With all of these ways I have porbably used them couple of times. There are other ways to get free backlinks but I did ones that I talked about. They do work

Submitting your site to directories, both free and paid, is always a good idea. Though I do wonder if the search engines have devalued links from directories in the past few years. I have yet to see free directory links really make an impact for a website’s rankings or traffic. Have you seen it actually make a positive impact? -Josh

I think it is important to get backlinks your own way and not wait for others to use them. This can really promote your page rank.

Well I do not like the backlink from directory submission. It take lots of time for approve the link. Better I prefer blog commenting and other backlink building strategy.
