If you are a home user and you want to do some online backup of your data then here are couple of places that do free online backup service.

You have Mozy Home. Mozy will give you 2 GB of Free space to backup your most important data. You can sign up at mozy.com/registration/free.

There is another place called Idrive. IDrive will also give you 2 GB of Free space to backup your data. You can sign up at https://www.idrive.com/idrivee/jsp/ide_freesignup.jsp

The third place is called MyOtherDrive. My Other Drive will also give you 2 GB of free space. If you want to sign up then www.myotherdrive.com/dyn/actions/viewRegister.

I think online data backup places have its place because most people will not backup their data. I also have this problem sometimes. Have you used a free online backup place before? If you have what one do you like?

Are this site’s safe? I mean can they access my data’s and read them and what if their server shutdown or crash do they have back ups of my data’s too?

I would also like to recommend Dropbox where you get about 5 GB for free.
